It seemed like yesterday you were looking at my knives. You were always nice and such a great person. I cry thinking your gone. My best friends dad and a friend of mine. A huge part of her is missing and nothing will be the same. Love and miss you.

Bill I’m so sorry you had such a struggle at the end. You left us way to soon. You were such a warrior right to the end. I have to thank you for giving me the greatest gift of my life, our daughter, Sara. Rest now in the arms of Our Father. 🙏🏻

I’m so sorry to hear of your passing William. I haven’t seen you in years, but I’m so thankful that you were my cousin. The thing I remember the most about you is your smile, sometimes mischievous, and sometimes sweet, but when you were smiling, I couldn’t help but smile myself. Rest In Peace William. I’ll see you on the other side.

Bill, you will be sorely missed by many. You were a good man and father, not to mention a good friend. I will miss talking to you from time to time, but I know you are in a better place now and at peace. We will see you again someday. Thank you for serving our country. Lots of thoughts and prayers.

You weren’t Blood 🩸 but from the day we met in the Park in Alamogordo, New Mexico, in 1974, you have ALWAYS been My Brother from another Mother. You were but a Sandy haired lad from Fort Worth, Texas, but I travelled there and met your Parents. Smokie and Al accepted me as Family and made me feel comfortable in their home. I met your Brother and Sister and life was Good. I introduced you to My Friend Ann Hawkes, and you and her were Married in 1974. We Served together in the Air Force, Partied together ALL NIGHT long, and went to Work the following day. We were Young and Bulletproof. We laughed with Richard Pryor and George Carlin, and ROCKED OUT with Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Bad Company. We Camped and Fished along the Shores of Elephant Butte Lake and more often than not, Caught More of a BUZZ than fish. Lol 😂 For almost a half Century, we remained Friends and Brothers In Arms. Through it ALL, you ALWAYS Showed me Love and Loyalty! 48 years went by in the Blink of an Eye, and I don’t Regret one Single Life moment or experience with you. I’m only Sorry that when you Fought Your Last Battle, and Struggled to Breathe Every Breath, that I couldn’t make you Well again. You Served Your Country PROUDLY, and SERVED the Lord to the End, with your Kindness and Compassion. He saves his Greatest Battles for his STRONGEST WARRIORS! I know that the Final Mile to Heaven, must have been HELLfor you, My Friend, but YOU MADE IT! SOAR with those NEW WINGS and Fly Gloriously to your Eternal REST! I will See You Again, in another place in time. I will Know You by Your Smile and Outstretched hand. Did I mention that William Boyd Adams was not BLOOD 🩸, but He was ALWAYS MY BROTHER?

You'll always be William Boyd to me. One of my favorite memory's is of the two of us trading gut punchs to see which one would holler Uncle first! Another is That time when Glen, myself and you were screwing around in the barn over at y'all's house in Forest Hill , you shot the pig in the snout with that weakass BB gun and the bb just stuck there. We all 3 freaked out just knowing your dad was gonna see it and bust our butts! Persistence paid off tho and after several tries we managed to dig it out and no one was the wiser. and Playing tag with the mulberry's off that big ole tree, damn things hurt like hell and left purple stains on our skin n clothes! Painfull but sure a lot of fun. Shooting arrows straight up in the air using that fine as wine recurve bow you had . Scary AF but as long as you stayed in that spot you shot from the arrow would never hit you. Riding y'all's horse around the pasture, that same horse biting me and you bitched slapped her like Will Smith on Chris Rock! Fritzy having puppies, going fishing n camping at Spivys Crossing on the Brazos. Cruising Camp Bowie in your 55 Chevy , watching you talk those girls into damn near anything. A true master ! I was completely in awe of your expertise! To say the least we had a hell of a great childhood running together, you Glen and me. I certainly wish we could have been closer as we got older but such is life. Things happen. I miss your Momma, your Daddy, your brother Glen and now you . Your all in my thoughts more often than any of you could ever know. Please tell them all I love em I miss em and know that I love you n miss you to. R.I.P. my Cousin, my Friend. Thank you for your Service to this great country of ours. Mostly Thank you for that great gift you were largely responsible for me receiving all those years ago. I'll never forget it. You will certainly be missed and you were and are forever loved. Your Cousin
