Ke’Vion DeWayne Lenear — Fort Worth, TX — Grace Memorial Funeral and Cremation

May 1, 2000 - February 9, 2022

Ke ’Vion DeWayne Lenear, 21, of Fort Worth, TX tragically lost his life on February 9, 2022. He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who knew that they could always come to him for a listening ear, laugh, motivation, and his all -time favorite “Master Plan”.

Ke ’Vion (“Kee” to some) was born on May 1, 2000 to Sharrie Lenear and Derrick Cox (“Dee”) in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a member of Highly    Favored Foundation (HFF), volunteered in the community, and initiated the 5K -Key Walk during his high school years at Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas. Ke 'Vion's lifelong dream was to become an entrepreneur and travel the World. A sure conversation starter for “Kee” was his newfound interest with Investing in Stocks and Trades. If there was one thing Ke ’Vion was, that was determined... No matter what the challenge or request, he gave his all to ensure he exceeded all expectations whether for himself or others. In the well quoted words of “Kee” during any difficult situation he, his loved ones, or friends faced: “We gon' be Alright”!!!

He was beloved by everyone who ever met him. He was a fantastic   grandson, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and a great friend to all walks of life. No matter the circumstance, you'd always leave with a story of something funny/bazaar that Ke ’Vion did or said while you were with him. Ke ’Vion is now at peace, joining his father Derrick Cox; Grandparents Monique Ramirez, Joseph Rollins; Great -grandparents Fred Sr.& Roberta Ramirez, Bobby Rollins, Bobby Lenear, and Aunt Chauntay Ramirez. - That is one fun party re -united!

Marlene Helen Powell — Fort Worth, TX — Grace Memorial Funeral and Cremation

January 17, 1931 - February 7, 2022

Marlene Helen Powell was the youngest child and daughter of ten children born to the parents of Pearly and Eva Powell on January 17, 1931 in Gladewater, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters (Lillie, Lillian) and seven brothers (Julius, Paul, George, Theo, Norvis, Joseph, Harvey). She acknowledged her faith in God at an early age and joined the St James Baptist Church in Gladewater. Marlene grew up on her family’s farm in Red Rock’s cozy wooded neighborhood. As a child, Marlene went to school in the Gladewater ISD and graduated from Weldon High School. She spoke of fun memorable celebrations and parties at the high school’s homecoming reunion football games. Weldon High School had a powerhouse football team where some players excelled into NFL football teams. The football team was in many championship playoff games.

Marlene loved her family dearly and enjoyed celebrating life for any occasion to share her love, laughter and joy with them. She loved shopping, playing cards and domino games with her family. She enjoyed all nieces and nephews.

A wonderful joy entered her life when her only son, Walter Herman was born. Marlene relocated to Dallas, Texas where she started her career as a worker in the dry cleaning business and worked there for many years until retirement. She continued to strengthen her faith with God and served faithfully at her church in Dallas. She met the love of her life, Cartwright, until his demise over ten years ago. She loved her son, Walter dearly and shared an inseparable bond until his demise two years ago. She was very heartbroken with her son’s passing. Through her strong faith and belief in Christ, she continued her prayers of healing for the loss of her loved ones.

On February 7, 2022, God ordered HIS angels to embrace their wings around Marlene to bring her home, letting her know that her earthly mission was finished. She leaves to celebrate her victory to devoted and loving nieces, Norice Powell Epperson of Arlington; Shelia Powell Printers of Garland; Glenda Lewis of Cedar Hill; Edith Powell Richardson of Gary Indiana; devoted cousin, Vince Green of Cedar Hill; long-time friend, Ann Lewis of Dallas and a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
